Top 8 of 2008 FESCO Basketball League
2008/11/23 News:
We were the top 8 of 2008 FESCO Basketball League! It's the second time we entered the top 8, the last time happened in year 2006 and only half competitors(20 teams) of this year(40 teams).
PS: We lost at 1/4 round and beat by the final Champion.

鳥巢·田徑·四川精神
上周日去鳥巢看了奧運開幕前鳥巢最後一次測試賽“好運北京國際田徑邀請賽”最後一天晚場的比賽。整場共14項決賽，看的血脈噴張。尤其是男子4*100米接力決賽被稱爲中日兩國國家隊級別的直接對抗。賽前調足了大家的胃口。但比賽偏偏就沒有向著大家期望的方向發展。清華學子被稱作眼鏡飛人的胡凱與第四棒交接失誤導致掉棒，沒有成績。正當全場觀衆抱頭歎息之時，前三棒落後近3米的四川隊像爆了血格一樣奮起直追，最終與日本國家隊幾乎同時撞線。大螢幕在全場幾萬觀衆安靜又急切的等待中沈默了近半分鐘。終於，四川隊第一，日本隊以電子計時器所能紀錄的最小單位0.01秒區居亞軍。全場沸騰了，沸騰的還有四川隊的小夥子們。他們眼含熱淚激動的向人們展示著胸前碩大的“四川”二字。全場則不約而同地齊聲高呼：“四川加油！ 聲音前所未有的有力，堅定。
熱切期待奧運的到來。

We made "china" bigger
Don't remember when and who told us that we should add "china" as a default tag when we blog at blogs.sun.com. Really a good ideal. We have been doing this for about 1 year. I clearly remembered that there was no "china" tag among the "Most Popular Tags" on the main page of blogs.sun.com at that time. And then we had S size "china".
I joked with Melanie a few months ago that we wouldn't be the biggest tag in character C because we have "community". Now we have M size "china", the same as "community". Check it out you will find most of "china" tags are coming from AGC bloggers (including Sin-Yaw's blogs, but I think it also related to AGC :-) ). It's a good experience to share with ERI members or even the whole Sun China.
Hope "China" will grow stronger as L, XL, XXL... in the future.

Great thanks to people who sat behind
The 3/28 BaDaLing Safari World "event" has past for a week. Still remember so many details. I saw different response from different people when we came to the crisis, also learned the key and the best way to pass a crisis. Special thanks to the people who sat behind on the bus. You guys talking, laughing, walking, making noise all the time. Yes, you made more and more tigers and lions concentrate on us, but the most important, you really calm down the others and kept my mind clear.

趴活儿
趴活儿是北京话，是说空乘出租车聚集在机场、火车站、写字楼、酒店这样乘客集中的场所附近等活儿。
昨晚在办公室加班，状态不错也就忘了时间，一抬眼才发现都半夜了，赶紧收拾东西下楼回家。刚出电梯就看见六个黑衣人，一人把着一个出口，搞得我下意识地摸了摸身上唯一的金属物件——钥匙。再定睛细看那几个黑衣人，嗨，大厦保安！
“辛苦。”
“呵呵。”
没想到都这时候了，大厅外面竟然人声鼎沸。十来辆出租车一字排开，车里不见人影儿，司机全聚在一起侃大山呢。看见我站在这头儿招手，在经过了将近一分钟的你推我让之后，一位不知道该称为失败者还是的胜利者的师傅满脸笑容地走过来。
众所周知，北京的的哥都是“说相声的”，你要比他能聊他就给你捧哏，你要“嗯、啊、就是”，他就是逗哏的。
“现在还没到高峰呢，一点钟，都是人。你看，这不都聚齐儿去了嘛。”谈话间，又是七、八辆空车朝科技园的方向驶去。
“你说这电脑公司怎么都晚上上班啊？”
“你会装电脑吧，你说这叉P和维斯塔到底哪个好啊？”
“别买车，油价还要涨，打车多方便啊。”
临近下车，师傅又说：“小伙子，年轻轻儿的注意点儿身体，别太玩儿命了，身体是革命的本钱，这可是老毛说的。”
“您也是。谢谢您啊。”
“得，回见了您了。”
要说干哪行都不容易呢，师傅也是，我也是。

Our Iceberg Is Melting － 《冰山在融化》
Our Iceberg Is Melting is another popular management book after "Cheese". Really a nice book: simple, funny, meaningful. It's definitely worth you to finish it in one go in 2 hours. I even felt an irresistible impulse to read it again just after I finished it.
The book tells you how to face the CHANGE and summarizes 8 steps to process the CHANGE successfully. They are:
- Create a Sense of Urgency.
- Pull Together the Guiding Team.
- Develop the Change Vision and Strategy.

Movie show
年关将至。网络上两个笑话正流行。一个是沙僧给猴哥发短信说二师兄的肉比师傅的还贵了，另一个就是看了年底的三部大片才知道女人、兄弟、组织都不可靠。电影经济在慢慢复苏，电影本身却在原地踏步。
按上映顺序，先看的《色戒》，这部在 2007 乃至 2008 都会给全中国带来震撼的作品，我印象中上次发生这种级别的震撼应该是在“石油工人一声吼”之后吧。有人是去看明星，有人是去看故事，有人是去看剧情，我是去看热闹。完场后我和 Renee 相视一笑“还可以吧”。虽不至万人空巷但还可以一看。顺便平反一下，完全看不出有歌颂汉奸的成分。只是不明白为什么有人还要去看第二遍。
《投名状》的最大惊喜是金的表演。很出彩儿，完全出乎意料。故事则来自小说《刺马》。我得承认冷兵器时代的战争远比现代战争来得惨烈，尤其是冷兵器混杂火枪＋土炮的年代。开场一大段的杀戮场面会看得你血脉喷张，手脚发麻。战争很残酷，后果很严重。和平万岁！
《集结号》是上周才刚刚看的。希望最好的留在最后。备足了纸巾和 Renee 杀进影院。出来后，眼圈微微发红，发红而已。没被感动，不是，只是每次都差那么一点点。作为10年来冯式电影的忠实拥趸，我得说，冯对战争题材的把握还不够火候。一句话，这是一部故事情节丰满，演员表演出色，细节处理略显粗糙的好电影。极品，它还称不上。因为就差那么一点点。
前两天看电视里重播《阿甘正传》，哭得稀里哗啦。感动，因为善良，真诚和一切美好的东西。

麻花可以这样吃
上周去看了年年演出年年火爆的《开心麻花》。挺不错。作为舞台喜剧，她足够搞笑，全场从头爆笑到尾，绝对锻炼表情肌；作为文化盘点，她足够丰富，2007年你知道的不知道的大大小小的文化现象，她一一为你另类呈现；作为一幕演出，她足够精彩，灯光，音乐，舞蹈，剧情，互动，无不令你为之兴奋。记得有人说过“让观众回归剧院，让演出回归舞台。”我决定，全力支持！

1 year to go
365 days is not close enough, but it's shorter than 500 and 1000. I still remember we celebrated the 500 days and 1000 days. Now, at least to me, the reality of the Olympics seem more real.
Except the traffic jam (to build and renew the subway, road )and closed GYM (renew for Olympics games), we can feel Olympics more than before. This week the 'Good luck Beijing' sport events opened. 42 games will be held in the next 10 months. As a sports fan, I recommend you to involve in the game by going to the stadium. It's totally different to enjoy the game live from seeing it on TV.

lost+found
We all know there is a lost+found directory in Linux system. It can track and resume those you have already deleted. Something like Recycle in Windows OS. But as human being, do we have lost+found directory for ourselves?
I saw a famous TV program on CCTV-2 today named Lucy 52. 2 teams PK with some questions. Team A are adults that are pretty good at their current job position like engineer or manager. Team B are students at primary school. The PK questions are all come from primary school grade 1 - 6. The result is obvious：landslide, students WIN!
Questions: (some of them are for Chinese only)
1. Which part does ginger is? (root, stem, branch, leaf, flower ...)
2. We called South America and North America together as America (亚美利加). What is this term's origin?
3. 闻鸡起舞中， 除了祖逖外，另一个人物是谁？
