With the colaboration of Carlos Guzman our CA from Universidad Autonoma de Tamaulipas, and Gildardo Peña edu sales account manager, Sun signed an agreement with Universidad Autonoma de Tamaulipas, to create the Java Academy or "Academia Java"

This let Sun Microsystems to train 15 professors with the help of Matersyst, a company partner of Sun. This train of trainers, had a duration of 8 hs. The materials used in the courses were:

  • References of NetBeans IDE
  • Infrastructure tools workshop 1
  • Java Programming Languaje SL-275
  • Fundamentals of the Java Programming Language SL-110-SE6
  • Web Component Development with Servlet and JSP Technologies SL-314
  • Object-Oriented Analysis and Design Using UML OO-226
  • Object Oriented Programming and Visual Modeling with UML
  • Infrastructure development tools workshop 2


After that, the university invited to all interested students to make the same training, all for free. Carlos gave the UML section to his classmates, and the rest of professors were in charged of all other subjects in the course

With this incredible agreement, university also got:
  • free vouchers exam for certificaction
  • 1 Sun Fire T2000 Server, 8 Core
  • 5 Work Station Sun Ultra20

The training was all given with NetBeans 6.1 and NetBeans 6.5

Que puedo decir, fue un gran logro para mi Universidad. Ahora este 26 de Junio 60 recursos de la Universidad entre alumnos y maestros presentaran el examen SCJA para asi poder construir un grupo de Desarrollo.
