OMG

So what if it is a completely embellished retelling of the Battle of Thermopylae? This trailer gives me chills!

Comments:

Yes, its embellished. By the genius of Frank Miller (re Sin City). The graphics novel, 300, makes no claims about being any way a factual account of the battle. It is Frank Miller showing some of his finest work and the film appears to hold true to his novel, as did the film Sin City.

Check out the graphic novel, and his other works, Sin City novels and one Dark Knight Returns - telling of Batman.

UMMM, where you there? I didn't think so! Are you saying that Spartans are not descendant from Hercules himself?! Whatever..., go back to your Real American Hero, G.I. Jack Bauer then! ;-)

Sweet! But yeah 300 was more of a stylized retelling of the battle to take advantage of the graphic novel format. If you look at the actual comic itself, it's also not the same size as normal books. But the visuals looks great and its not claiming to be historically accurate, but it is claiming to be entertaining. For some entertaining free stuff, I came across these free games lately on the web. Enjoyable FPS games based on Valve's Source engine. Kuma\War is one of the titles to look for. Check it out at http://www.kumagames.com
