*LEVEL COMPLETE*

Well, this change has been coming for a while now. I have decided to change my blog look, as well at the title, to better reflect my constantly expanding sphere of discussion around new media, technology and society at large. To be clear, this is not a shift away from the games industry, but an expansion to include thoughts and discussions about the consumer technology adoption and communication landscape. Let me explain.

I have been around video games my whole life. Started programming at a very early age and wrote quite a few programs growing up, mostly games of course. I did various side jobs like running the Atari and Sega forums at AOL and have participated in advisory board positions for several conferences including GDC-Mobile. However, while outwardly it would appear that my focus is predominately in "just games", that could not be further from the truth.

What excites me is exploring the possibility space that games and game technologies represent. Interactive mediums have the potential to change the way we educate our kids, how we communicate with distant relatives, how we demonstrate to other groups, across multiple countries and cultures, through common interfaces. These are the things that will continue to grow out of the lessons learned from video game technologies.

So, this is not me dropping anything related to video games (Darkstar and Wonderland work is exploding!), just expanding to have a more inclusive dialog.
