The principle for Day #61 on the 101-day book report says: "Make love the focus of your life."
When did love turn into a term to be avoided? Someone told me yesterday that she and her new boyfriend made a pact to never use that word. I don't know about you, but the alternative verbiage is just laughably hard for me to imagine coming out of a guy's mouth.
So then I started wondering if this neo-Oprah notion of romantic love is somehow going to spill over in terms of having compassion for our fellow human beings. And if we can't just teach our kids something as simple as love thy neighbor, what will be left but Duck and Cover?
