Vacation days are like our canoe, I'm thinking. This whisper of a lake serves stark contrast to the stormy waters back home. There's a wild turkey on the shore, but the boy pays no mind as he peers over the side, his net at the ready as his pollywogs await the more.
Forward and peaceful in it's progress, this is one long and narrow boat. But still I'm wired to events ahead, typing up some semblance of order for a customer show half a world away.
It's a shame I couldn't really leave the world behind, but when I do hit the shore, I think I'll take this moment with me.
