
Cartoon characters are under a lot of pressure these days, or at least, the people who draw them are. As the violent protests over Danish cartoons continue, even Dilbert has turned into a platform for eco-awareness.
I bring this up to you, dear reader, only to point out that something major went down since your younger self giggled at Bugs Bunny substituting dynamite for someone's cigar. Somewhere between playground laughter and your morning paper came a world where even us cartoon characters have to behave responsibly.
