New: OpenOffice.org 3.0.1 Release Candidate 1 (build OOO300_m14) available
Marcus Lange

We had the plan to publish OpenOffice.org 3.0.1 Release Candidate 1 before Christmas and actually we reached this goal. OOo 3.0.1 RC 1 (build OOO300_m14) has been uploaded to the mirror network. So we hope that you will find a nice place for it under your tree.

If you find severe issues within this build please file them to OpenOffice.org's bug tracking system IssueTracker. If you think the issue is a show stopper then please notify the releases mailing list.

Please use the following link:
http://download.openoffice.org/3.0.1rc1/index.html

When the Bouncer links don't work, please select one of the extended mirrors at the following page ( listed with an [E] ) and download the bits from the ".../extended/developer/OOO300_m14" directory:
http://distribution.openoffice.org/mirrors/#mirrors

Or you can use the following website:
http://download.openoffice.org/3.0.1rc1/index-nojs.html

MD5 checksums:

Thanks a lot to everyone who has made this possible.

Merry X-Mas and a Happy New Year for you and your loved ones. :-)

I sent a comment on using the writer to make labels.
I think it went into orbit and so am sending a summary here as a definite bug and other issues were raised.

The bug is that when a portrait table is formatted into plan it gets scrambled.
I think that labels have a high need to switch between plan and portrait e.g. designing business cards.

If you want the original comprehensive email then please reply.
