05/2005: OpenDocument (ODF) v1.0 was approved as an OASIS Standard.
09/2005: OASIS submitted ODF v1.0 to ISO.
01/2006: The OASIS OpenDocument Technical Committee (TC) launched its Accessibility Sub Committee.
03/2006: The OASIS OpenDocument TC launched its Formula SC.
03/2006: The OASIS ODF Adoption TC was founded.
04/2006: The OASIS OpenDocument TC launched its Metadata SC.
05/2006: OpenDocument was approved by ISO, were it became ISO/IEC 26300:2006.
05/2006: The Accessibility SC published the Accessibility evaluation of ODF v1.0.
09/2006: opendocument.xml.org was launched.
09/2006: The Metadata SC published the Metadata Use Cases and Requirements document.
02/2007: The ODF v1.1 specification, which integrates the findings of the accessibility evaluation, was approved as an OASIS Standard.
03/2006: The ODF Alliance was launched, starting with 36 member organizations.
01/2007: The OpenOffice.org ODF Toolkit Project was launched.
02/2007: Sun released the StarOffice 8 Conversion Technology Preview 1.0 for Microsoft Word, which adds ODF support to Microsoft Word.
03/2007: The ODF Alliance one year after its foundation has more than 370 members from 51 nations.
On an ongoing basis:
Several ODF supporting groups and software projects were launched, for instance the OpenDocument Fellowship and the OpenDocument Foundation.
The number of ODF (and OOo) deployments was and still is increasing. Overviews are available at opendocument.xml.org, the ODF Alliance, or the OpenDocument Fellowship.
The number of products that support ODF is increasing constantly. Overviews can be found at opendocument.xml.org or Wikipedia.
The OASIS OpenDocument TC and its sub committees have won many new members.
It will be interesting to see where we are in two more years.
