Sun's New Six-Core AMD Blades Boost Performance
Sun rolled out blades and rackmount servers this week based on AMD's new Istanbul 6-core processors:
"Sun's new x64 blades and rackmount servers with the latest Six-Core AMD Opteron processors are ideal for virtualization, enterprise workloads, datacenter consolidation and compute-intensive high performance computing (HPC).
