ClusterTools 8 (CT8) Early Access 2 (EA2) now available

Early Access 2 of HPC ClusterTools 8.0 (CT8) is now available for download. This is the first release of ClusterTools that supports Linux as well as Solaris, so we encourage wide participation in the EA2 program.

The CT8 EA2 software is a set of MPI libraries and tools for launching parallel MPI jobs, and in addition to supporting Solaris this release also introduces support for Linux.

The following new features are available in CT8 EA2:
* Linux support (RHEL 4 & 5, SLES 9 & 10), with both Studio 12 and gcc support on Linux
* MPI support for Mellanox ConnectX HCAs
* DTrace provider support on Solaris
* Improved scalability
* Enhanced processor affinity support
* MPI state integration with Sun Studio Analyzer (available in the upcoming Studio Express release)

The CT EA2 release also includes features introduced in EA1 in March as follows: MPI profiling support via VampirTrace and MPI PERUSE, Infiniband multi-rail communication, support for C++ applications built with libstlport4, as well as other fixes and features contributed to Open MPI by the community.

CT8 EA2 is based on the upcoming Open MPI 1.3 release (http://www.open-mpi.org).

Please send any feedback on CT8 EA2 to ct-feedback@sun.com.

Well done team!
