Why is Solaris the best OS for simple Cloud environments
Why not use Sun Solaris when you migrate legacy Applications into the Cloud ?
Instead of rising the complexity with
- Maintaining one Operating System
- Maintaining an virtualization layer like Xen, Vmware etc. with an included OS
why not reduce the complexity and
- Run Solaris or OpenSolaris
- Use ZFS as a cool Filesytem/VolumeManager
- Use Solaris Container to get the flexibiliy you need....

Tja, irgendwie bin ich verwirrt.
Sagte Larry nicht, das der integrated Stack das Maß der Dinge sei.
Dann wäre doch die Cloud obsolet?
BTW, Green.IT ist wenn alles auf Z-Linux läuft, denn nur der Mainframe spart dann richtig Strom. Und das solltest Du sehr beherzigen, so einen Insider bekommst Du von mir nicht nochmal. :-D

Das ist gut. Hypervizor ist nicht gut. Containers seien sehr uber.

nur weil ich seit einiger Zeit die politischen Dimensionen kennen.
Es wäre besse für Dich, wenn PeoleSoft die Plattform Deiner Vergleiche wäre.
Stelle Dir doch nur einmal vor, jemand von Relevanz liest was Du schreibst.
