Sun Microsystems Champions Student Developers In Higher Education | Enterprise Open Source | 10/12/2006
Although you might not be that skeptical, you will be curious of the status of the news. Please take a look at the photos from Sun China Engineering and Research Institute, Beijing. Altogether 20 Campus Ambassadors (17 new hires, expected total number is 25 by December) have participated in the kick-off training during Nov. 1 - 2, 2006. The top talents selected from over 500 candidates from over 100 top universities in China become the lucky dogs. The first trainings on Java and Solaris enriched them of the industry newest technologies, as well as the hands-on training of event organization, rehearsal for technical talks. The 2-day packed schedule of training gets them to empower, enrich, and enjoy Sun open technologies.The Campus Ambassador will organize Technical Talks on Java, (Open)Solaris and other Sun open technologies on Campus after they return back to universities.
