Anton Krajnc

In the late 1970's, I was lucky to be introduced to the work of an Austrian artist by the name of Anton Krajnc.   A friend was a collector of Anton's work and last I heard, had over 20 lithographs in his collection.   Of the early works which he had acquired, all of them were wonderful pieces of art.   I promised myself I would one day buy my own...

After years of not knowing how to spell Anton's last name, and thus not being able to find his work, I stumbled upon his website on the Internet last year.   Since then, I've purchased my own Krajnc lithograph entitled Longing For The South.   It reminds me of the tropical island of Barbados which my husband and I really enjoyed visiting.

If you appreciate art that can draw you into long relaxing thought, Anton's work may interest you as well.   He and his wife Dagmar (a great photographer in her own right as well as an author of a book about Elvis) can be contacted via their Studio Website.

Comments:

little bit of trivia since you appear to be interested... he may have been born in Graz (Austria) but his family definitely originates from Slovenia which borders on Austria about 20min drive south from Graz. spelling is easy ;) - just drop the J (it's silent in that particular surname)
