This week, my Director volunteered me onto an existing project team.   I had no idea what I was being volunteered into, but what the hey, Sun pays me to do all sorts of interesting things...
At the first meeting, I learned that the team has the awesome charter of helping maintain one of Sun's coolest web based resources for system administrators:
I remember viewing BigAdmin a long time ago and was impressed to see how much it has grown over the years.
So what's my role in BigAdmin going to be?   I'll be helping identify additional technical whizzes in Solaris engineering who will continue populating BigAdmin with technical goodies.   However, don't be surprised if you see me contributing directly as well!
So what can you do on BigAdmin?
You can:
o   Figure out how to do something specific with your system
o   Browse tons of stuff
o   Read news
o   Find out about new products
o   Download software
o   Diagnose problems
o   See what's up in the forums
o   Ask questions
o   Get training
o   Read documentation
o   Get support
o   Contribute
o   and more
If you haven't browsed BigAdmin lately, try it out!   Take it for a test drive!   Get connected!
Don't have time to browse today?   No problem.   Subscribe to the BigAdmin Newsletter and we'll deliver the news to you every month.
PS - Engineers in my org.... if you're interested in contributing, COOL!
  Let your managers know.
