I don't talk about my job much, but suffice it to say that what I do on one day can be radically different from what I'm doing the next day.
As "Chief of Staff" for Solaris RPE (aka Solaris Sustaining), I take on the odd administrative and management tasks that are often filed under "Gotta get done" but "Ain't my job, Man".   Some are tediously Booorrring with a capital B.   Some are interesting.   Some are downright challenging and fun!
This week's challenge is to prepare a succinct presentation that describes what we would want our Top Executives to recognise about our organisation.   Oh, and it needs to be done in one slide, no graphs, no images.   Thank goodness the big boss, JIS, our former VP, already has a good understanding & appreciation for the true value of our team!
Even so, it needs to be done and you know I love a challenge!
So, while digging around looking for off-the-wall stats to go along with all the other cool executive level organisational Hors D'Oeuvres I've collected to serve on this one-paged silver platter, I happened across blogs.sun.com. What a surprise to discover that over 10% of Solaris RPE is BLOGGING!!!
Way to go, gang!   This is the participation age!
