My colleague Venkat Chennuru had provided the detailed steps to mount a partition of the shared disk in Solaris Cluster node locally in the ha-clusters-discuss@opensolaris.org alias in response to the request by an active member, Leal.

"This may work once the raw device group associated with the disk is marked localonly (so that it is not fenced anymore). You can use /dev/did or /dev/rdsk, but not /dev/global/dsk/dXsY.

1.) cldevicegroup remove-node -n <cluster node> dsk/d#

2.) Repeat the same command for all the nodes in the cluster to which the disk is connected to

3.) cldevicegroup set -p localonly=true dsk/d#
