Solaris installation woes on VMWare
I am having trouble installing 64 bit solaris on VMWare ESX server 3.0.1 on v20z box. I have started a thread on the vmware community but no answers so far!

I am able to install 64 bit solaris using a conventional installation. What m I missing?
I am trying the same thing, RHEL x86_64 too, with no success. I don't think it is possible since the v20z's BIOS does not provide the means to enable VT support. Keep me updated on your progress (on vmware forum) and I will be sure to do the same.

Apparently it is the processor problem - Only Opteron F series processors in boxes which have minimum of 2 sockets will make the grade. HTH.
