Is there a shell problem in nevada builds of late?

$ bash
shell-init: error retrieving current directory: getcwd: cannot access parent directories: Permission denied
bash: /root/.bashrc: Permission denied
Compare this with S10 :

$ bash
I am wondering why it is trying to access root's .bashrc. This problem seem to send all my scripts into a tizzy.
The latest Open HA Cluster Core, Agents and Geographic Edition source is now available. What is new in this release?
* This release runs on OpenSolaris Nevada build 86. The version of the
Sun Management Centre is now 3.1.
* The HA agent for Solaris Containers is now enhanced to include
support for the Solaris 9 Branded Zones on SPARC platform. This
is very useful for those customers who still need to run some
applications on Solaris 9 while taking advantage of the new features of
Solaris 10 and above.
* The HA agent for PostgreSQL Database is now ehanced to support WAL
shipping. This feature greatly enhances the deployment of PostgreSQL
database in Enterprise deployments.
* Support for Solaris Containers configured with exclusive IP is
included in this release.
* The SCX Geographic Edition is enhanced to support Oracle Data Guard
based replication.
* This release also contains the mandatory bug fixes and other minor
enhancements not mentioned above.

Solaris Express, Developer Edition 1/08 or SXDE 1/08 is out! The Nevada build corresponding to the release is 79b.
What is new?
Project Webstack is the most commonly used components for webservices development namely Apache, MySQL, PHPoptimized for OpenSolaris. You can call it SAMP! Now bringing up this stack should take just a few minutes. And yes, it does include the PostgreSQL db also!
It includes support Ruby Projects. Also the JDBC driver for PostgreSQL is included!
Other highlights include:
- Interoperability with Microsoft's CIFS protocol.
- Support for virtual machines via Sun xVM hypervisor, based on technology developed by the Xen community.
- Sun HPC ClusterTools based on the Open MPI effort.
More reasons to adapt OpenSolaris!
