3PAR storage is Solaris Cluster's newest enterprise class storage partner and is now officially listed on the Solaris Cluster 3rd party storage matrix:

3PAR is a leading provider of utility storage a category of highly virtualized and dynamically tiered storage arrays. The inclusion of 3PAR support on Solaris Cluster adds another dynamic storage option for Solaris Cluster customers to deploy.

The title says it all!  Hopefully, that would result in fewer delays!

FAA upgrades its Air Traffic Systems to ZFS and Open Storage.

A startup called greenBytes has come up with an enhancement that would enable ZFS to save more power on Sunś x4540 line.  You can find more details at http://storage.blogs.techtarget.com/2008/09/15/suns-thumper-finds-a-new-green-friend/.

This news validates the Open Source approach Sun has taken to storage.  I bet more such startups will emerge driving down the cost of storage similar to the way x86 servers brought down the price of servers. 

While I was away at foss.in, there was an important update to our cluster storage quals program.  Now SC 3.2 is supported with EMC storage.
