Intellectus 1 - full autonomous wheels robot
|
Three members of our Blagoveshcensk Java&OpenSolaris group (I am, Alexander Mironenko, Grigoriy Kislitsyn) presents another Sun SPOT related project "Intellectus 1".
"Intellectus 1" is a full autonomous wheels robot that take the bypass obstacles itself. Decision on moving direction is made by means of distance sensors indications processing. The mind of "Intellectus 1" is Sun SPOT embedded system combining distance sensors and robot motors into unite system.
In this prototype we use automobile ultrasonic parking sensor system. Sensors recognize barriers at the distance from 30 to 200 cm. Besides this parking sensor system allows to get data from sensors only sequenstially. Because of it, limitations are applied to the functionality of our robot. Reaction on approaching barriers is implemented programmatically with the following statistical alghorithm. The statistical sampling of sensors indications is accumulated during the empirically defined time interval. Then frequencies of the sensor firing are calculated and the decision to alter the moving direction is made. In future during the development of our second prototype "Intellectus 2" we will use infrared distance sensors with the ability to fully control distance to a barrier using Sun SPOT. |

Не только успели с ними разобоаться, но и сделали автономного робота, который самостоятельно объезжает препятствия
