SPOTCar - is a remote controlled car with headlights and audio system using Sun SPOTs.

Our Blagoveschensk Java&OpenSolaris User Group got Sun SPOT kit only some month ago. And last week small part of our user group, which is interesting in Java technologies - Alexander Mironenko, Grigoriy Kislitsyn, I am , Dmitry Kabakov, Yan Kazlauskas, have been developing our first Sun SPOT project - SPOTCar. SPOTCar - is a racing car, which is controlled through computer with a basestation. Besides our car has a front and backward headlights, which are turn on when the level of illumination is too low in the room and it has a "music system":))-simple speaker, which can play sounds. |

Requirements:
1.Sun SPOT Kit. (Two SUNSPOTs and one basestation). 2.Chip from any car with remote control. 3.DC Motors 2 Nos. 4.Four 3V LEDs - two for front headlights and two for backward headlights. 5.Simple speaker 0,25W. 6.Three resistors 16Ω (one for speaker and two for LEDs). 7.Enthusiasm of our group. )))) |

Our project SPOTCar was done using new research technology from Sun Microsystems - Sun SPOT (embedded system which is programmed by Java). All necessary information you can find in Sun SPOT official site:
