But, what are you gaining (as a company) from those iwork programs? Do you have the best people in the world available working for Sun without having to move theire houses? Can you alocate resources with a few hours notice in deploying solutions in customers? How far are you taking this program?

Jaime, Sun gets a lot from these programs. Probably the most important result is that iWork improves employee satisfaction and help us to attract and retain top quality talented employees. As you say we can have the best talent in the world work for Sun and it doesn't matter where they live. Another enormous advantage is that the program saves us significant real estate costs. Finally you asked how far are we taking the program. Actually that is somehting that only time will tell. We have been developing and evolving iWork for ten years. I am sure we will continue to improve and develop it in the future to meet Sun's needs.

I hate to be picky, but I see you rolled out to England. Does that mean that Sun employees in Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland will not be able to use iWork?

I wondered that myself. I just asked our program manager. Apparently all of the UK has it available. We had to break out Scotland and Ireland due to a different Policy review panel. I guess I'll just add Wales and Northern Ireland to the list.
