As you probably know Bob Lutz the GM Vice Chairman has a blog. In this entry titled "What I Meant To Say Was… " he responds to people who reminded him that there are a lot of Americans who "want a car designed and engineered for European roads and tastes." I'm one of them. My favorite car I ever owned was the BMW I owned 20 years ago. Even when it was ten years old I still loved the way it went around corners.

This blog " Your brain on multitasking " rang true for me. Anyone who knows me knows that whether you call it day dreaming or multitasking, I do it. I am really working on doing a better job of focusing. My piano teacher and I talk about it all the time. I've discovered that you really can't daydream while playing the piano. It is great training.

Sun's very own Eric Richert was quoted recently in an article on virtual offices on the Federal government IT site. Although they did spell his name wrong.

I recently found a very old James Michener essay about the value of constant learning which I liked. It was a link off David Bull's website. He is a woodblock print maker.

Even not being a computer geek, my wife likes technology. when I was explaining to her what are CMP Processors (like the Niagara) her comment was "Hey, We (women) found out ages ago that this is the way to go". since then, CMT (in my house) is reffered to as CPU-Female (or something that translated would be something like it)

Jaime, Your comment made me smile. You are right that multi threading tends to be a female characteristic. I've read that women have developed it over the ages because of the need to raise children and do so many things at the same time while men in the past needed to have a single focus on bringing home the food. I do find that there is a time for each type of behavior. Thanks for the comment. Marion
