Amazing 3D GIF "Shakeygrams"
My colleague Gary Zellerbach, a hologram expert, points out that if you take a stereographic photo and alternate the two frames in an animated GIF, the illusion of a 3D picture is created.
Gary's friend Mark Diamond has set up a section of his web site that is a great showcase of these "shakeygrams." Below is one example*:
