- How to showcase applications, invite developers to participate in a community, and explain a new paradigm for network-based applications on demand... all at once on the main page
- How to make the site feel like part of Sun, but separate it from the Sun.com umbrella a bit (since it includes a growing world beyond just Sun.com)
- How to keep things relatively simple, but visual enough to get the key points across
