WWOSUG Telecon
I participated in the World Wide Open Solaris User Group call this evening. By the end, I was silently cheering and pumping my fist each time a new Geo chimed in. Then benr showed up and Alan H in Sydney, then Beijing, Bangalore arrived on time, and the Great Lakes too, plus many more! I knew I would love this. Things I learned already:
- More than 30 user groups exist for Open Solaris, they are in a sidebar list here
- ~600 community members subscribe to the main discuss mail list
- OpenSolaris user groups are about participating and speeding innovation
- The community page is about providing a space and a mail list for the group members
- You don't have to be a member to call in to WWOSUG and join in the excitement
- Becoming a member takes very little time, I just did!
