RSS--An Overview
J.D. Lasica, senior editor of the USC Annenberg Online Journalism Review, has provided a non-technical overview of RSS that anyone can enjoy reading. Lasica's material is particularly suited to the writers among you.
Fagan Finder has a nice tutorial on using RSS, again from a writer's perspective.

Climbing Mount Sabalan
This summer, if all goes well, I'll be climbing Mount Sabalan, near Ardebil, Iran, where my family is already vacationing. Ardebil is the seat of the Allah-Allah dome, the burial place of the Sheikh Safi-edin Ardabily, the sufi ancestor of the Safavid Dynasty which ruled over a huge region from Afghanistan to Iraq, from Samarkand to Bahrain, from its capitals of Tabriz and Isfahan, hosting Queen Elizabeth I's special envoys, teaching the details of Polo on the Nagsh Jahan square, among other things royal.
I'll be climbing Mount Sabalan with a 65-year-old dentist from Ardebil . . . Anders Joergensen of Copenhagen, Denmark, who works for Nokia, says it was really cold up on top in May. I'm hoping it'll be a little warmer now. There won't be any rock climbing . . . This is supposed to be a class 2 climb. . . . Wish me luck for all the 4,821 meters (15,817 ft) up ! ! !
Next year, I hope to climb Mount Damavand. Let me know if you want to join in. Add a comment.
