Ranghe Khoda (The Color of God)
|
Except for Platoon, I missed all of Oliver Stone's movies, and as I said earlier, I'm not much of a movie goer and don't expect ever to go see Alexander, the movie, even for entertainment value.
While I like to be entertained, some historical errors and fantasies are too much for me to swallow.
Instead, I like the realism of simple movies, such as the ones by Antonioni or Majidi, who focus on smaller but equally heroic characters.
My idea of a good movie is something like this: The Color of Paradise, or in its more literal translation, The Color of God (Ranghe Khoda), by Majid Majidi. (That reminds me that "Majid" was my first choice for a son's name.)
