[ Persian (فارسی) ] II کیبرد فارسی و مشکلاتی از این قبیل ! و .... بیشترش بعد II

بالاخره کی برد فارسی را که سال ‍‍‍پیش به کمک دوستی خریده بودم به راه انداختم واز طریق جستجوی کو چکی در اینترنت زبان و کیبرد را جزو برنامه معمول کار ویندوز کردم ولی مشکل اصلی من الان نوشتن صحیح پاراگرافهاست و نقطهه ها در انتهای جملات. پاراگرافها انگاری از چپ به راست نوشته میشوند نه از راست به چپ. این هم نوای از کار است. نقطه جمله اخر هم جای عجیبی میافتد... کسی هم باید کتابی بنویسد در مورد نوشتار فارسی در میان متون انگلیسی و بالعکس... تا شاید همه ما با این محیطها بهتر اشنا شویم.

I guess the problem is that only the alignment is set to right align and not the direction which should be set to right-to-left (RTL) too. Where do you type to publish in your blog? Try pressing CTRL+Right-shift to change the direction. In MS word there is a symbol like "¶<" that you can use to set the direction (if Farsi is enabled).

In HTML right-to-left can be set with "dir" attribute on any tag. See http://tlt.psu.edu/suggestions/international/web/tips/align.html

Thank you very much for your help ... It was very useful!

Setting "dir" seems to have solved most of my problems so far ... Thanks. I'll move on and see what else there is. I will also try CTR+Right-shift ... (By "Right-shift," I assume you mean the shift key on the right side of the keyboard.) Does this key combination work in all (or most all) editors? If one wants to insert a word in English does one need to start and end with a different key combination?

:) Yes that's true I meant the shift on the right side. It doesn't work in all applications. I know it works in Notepad and Word but not in Firefox. You can also use Alf+Shift to toggle between languages that works everywhere but doesn't change the direction.
English inside Farsi is hard though I mean you can use it but you have to decide if the paragraph is mainly in which language and set the direction that way.

Thank you Pooya. You've been very helpful. In the meantime, there was some glitch in Roller weblog server includes that require me to delimit an entry title with some English letters (in this case "I"). Ohterwise, the parenthesis in the category field for each entry gets garbled with the entry title ... I'm not sure why this is. It's probably a problem with macros that Roller uses ... For right now, I'm just going with the "I" until I have enough time to look into it more.
