During my extended stay here I've observed that most Puerto Rican ladies wear high heels with just about any outfit, doing just about anything.  I've found myself being impacted by this fashion environment.  My very practical sandals have remained in the closet most days, and I've opted for my something with more of a lift. 

Today on my morning run a lady was out for a walk.  She had on sweat pants.  Her hands held small weights to work the upper body.  The headphones played her choice of "get it movin' music".  All this sounds fairly typical, until I noticed the shoes.  She was out power walking in 4 inch wedgie sandals.  Go figure. 

Ok, I need to the shower, but only if I can find my high heeled shower shoes!
