An unexpected visit to San Fran!

I had unexpected business in San Francisco late last week through today.  Things worked out such that I did get a little bit of free time over the weekend, which I spent downtown.

A few of us headed down to Pier 39 and Fisherman's wharf.  The weather was stunning, clear skies, no wind, and downright balmy.  We strolled through the tourist areas, gorging on fresh saltwater taffy, watching the seals (arf, arf, ark) and just enjoying the outside.   Here's a shot of the bay and Pier 39.

We then settled in for some wine, cheese, pate and fruit at a delightful little place, overlooking all the boats.

Sigh, nice things almost always come from unexpected and unplanned adventures!!!
