You might have gathered from my previous post about the temps in Boulder that I'm trying to do most of my training in the very early morning, like yesterday. I was on my bike before 6 for a beautiful ride through the farmland, and then went for a short run. All this before I really like to be up! I opted for the early morning run even through my regular Thursday night activity of the Stroke and Stride includes a run (aka the Stridin' part). I just couldn't fathom the idea of pushing it out there in the high 90's like I had in the previous weeks.
The water was nice....I actually regretted having on my wet suit. I love the bouyancy of it, and the insulation qualities are stellar in really cold water. But the Rez isn't "really cold" any more. I pondered taking it off for the second lap around the course, but somehow this seemed like to much work. Regardless, it was wonderful to be out there splashing.
I've finally got my camera and computer talking so I'm back able to take pictures, and actually get them posted. Here's a couple of the general scene as people are getting ready to head out - and, just look at those clouds....teasing us....making us think it might actually rain!!

catchin' up on your blog...those clouds, that sky - GORGEOUS. beyond gorgeous. what a beautiful scene for a race...
