The JavaOne Conference is only one month away, and today is the last day to take advantage of early-bird registration to save up to $200.
This week SDNtv previews this massive developer conference that draws more than 15,000 attendees and includes 200 technical sessions.
This year’s JavaOne is the first since Sun open-sourced key elements of Java technology, a development that’s sure to spark more discussion than ever.
If you’ve been to JavaOne before (40% of attendees are alumni), you know that the conference isn’t all business though. The fun factor is higher than ever this year, according to Alvina O’Neal, JavaOne conference manager. Take a break and hear what Alvina has to say about the after dark party. Sounds like a blast!
The day before JavaOne opens, take in the inaugural CommunityOne conference. This free event explores participation-based technologies, solutions, and business models, according to Julian Edwards, Sun senior marketing manager.
Tracks include NetBeans, Glassfish, OpenJDK, OpenSolaris, Web 2.0, Startup Camp, and the Redmonk Community. Seats are limited. Sign up today so you won’t be turned away.
And don’t forget that today (April 4) is the last day of early-bird registration for JavaOne. Sign up now and save!
Also this week on SDNtv, the Geek Gadget Guru goes fishing with the Greenlee CableCaster.
Tune in to next week’s episode for a closer look at the upcoming NetBeans 6.0.
