From Chet's perspective, its all about building cool, graphically rich, desktop applications that intensify the user experience.

Hear from Chet about JavaOne...everything from Java SE and Swing to the new Java FX suite of technologies.

Learn about the range of desktop applications and how best to take advantage of the GUI capabilities of Swing or the graphical capabilities of Java 2D. NetBeans has some great tools, in particular the work on the Matisse GUi builder, is making it much easier to create Swing GUIs and Java Web Start Applications.
