This month Kuldip Oberoi will be drilling down on key features in the new Sun Studio 12, a powerful--and free--platform for C, C++, and Fortran development.
First up is Sun's Don Kretsch, Sr. Director of Developer Tools. Be sure to listen in as he highlights several exciting new features in Sun Studio 12.
Hear how Sun Studio can really help when it comes to multi-threaded development. Don also talks about the new compilers that boast world-record performance numbers. There's also Sun Studio’s new point-and-click IDE, based on NetBeans 5.5.1. (Of course, the command line is still there if you want it.)
And I'm certain developers will be happy to hear that Sun Studio now supports the Linux platform.
The really amazing part? It’s all free. You can download either a stand-alone version or the Solaris Express Developer Edition, which includes Sun Studio 12 and the Solaris 10 OS.
Father’s Day may have passed, but I’m sure any Dad would appreciate this week’s Geek Gadget, Logitech’s Harmony 659 Advanced Universal Remote. Unlike cumbersome universal remotes, you can easily set this one up via your computer.
Next week, tune in as we take a closer look at Sun Studio’s new Linux support.
