James Gosling, the founder of Java Technology, joins guest host, Karie Willyerd, Sun's Chief Learning Officer, in an awesome special edition of SDN Channel. As you might imagine, James has a LOT to say about Java including the new JDK 7 work along with JavaFX...sounds like it's all about rich internet apps these days.
I really liked the discussion around certification. Karie had a great story about how Java certification really paid off for one developer. It just shows that being Java certified really can make a difference ...in salary and job opportunities. With almost 500,000 Sun certifications granted, it really has become the most popular developer certification program in the world.
What a great day in the studio! Jonathan Schwartz, (Sun's President and CEO) was able to stop by and chat with James. You'll just have to check out the video to see what that was all about.
