Using DTrace and truss can turn you into a real sleuth, as this case study shows. While troubleshooting an issue with adding a new user, the author found that someone had tried to log in secretly. A Chinese version is up on the BigAdmin Multilingual Hub.

Workaround for Xorg Server's Failure to Start on IBM x3850 M2 Server
Here's a workaround on the BigAdmin wiki. This workaround helps the Xorg server detect a PCI bus, which solves the problem.

Run Solaris 9 Applications on Systems With Solaris 10 OS
Solaris 9 Containers is available for download now. Documentation is on docs.sun.com. Solaris 9 Containers software is functionally similar to Solaris 8 Containers: you can run your existing Solaris 9 applications on the latest SPARC systems running the Solaris 10 OS.
