SigTest Tool

The SigTest tool is an API conformance tool that makes it possible to easily compare the signatures of two different implementations of the same API. It verifies that all of the members are present, reports when new members are added, and checks the specified behavior of each API member. Java ME Platform: Product and Technology Releases

JSR 248 Mobile Service Architecture 1.1.0 MREL
This JSR creates a mobile service architecture and platform definition for the high volume wireless handsets continuing the work started in JSR-185 and enhancing the definition with new technologies.

JSR 293 Location API 2.0 0.15 PFD
This specification defines an optional package that enables the developers to use new enhanced location-based features on the JavaTM ME devices.

JSR 262 Web Services Connector for Java Management Extensions (JMX) Agents 1.0 PR
This specification defines a connector for the JMX Remote API that uses web services to make JMX instrumentation available remotely. Clients do not have to be Java technology-based applications, but they can be.

JSR 290 Java Language and XML User Interface Markup Integration 1.0 PR
This JSR enables creation of Java ME applications which combine Web UI markup technologies with Java code. The intent is to leverage the W3C Compound Document Format (CDF) specification.

Cool Video -- Gosling on JavaFX

This keynote was given to an audience in Santa Clara a few weeks ago at the first annual "Mobile and Embedded Developer Days" conference. <http://www.ustream.tv/recorded/gvbXufYZraSDd.veU2w3FA>.  It's a pretty cool video which discusses Java embedded technologies (everything from the smallest "mote" to the largest real-time system) and gives an overview of the JavaFX platform.
