Ruby, JRuby, and Rails Application Development (With Passion!): Free Online Course Starts July 15
Sun technology evangelist Sang Shin has announced the start of a new "Programming With Passion!" course in July. Specifics of the course are still in the works, but you can take a look at some of the hands-on labs now -- including several real-life Rails applications that you can build and run as NetBeans projects with minimum effort. Innovators Grant: Submission Deadline Extended!
There is still time to submit a proposal for the open-source project of your dreams–and be awarded a grant (US$ 11,500 or 2,000!) for implementing it! Bruno Souza announced that the submissions deadline was extended to this Friday (March 7, 2008) to allow more countries to participate. We already got over 100 submissions for innovative plugins, programming books, localization projects, and web and desktop applications.
