Can RFID stop poachers?
Interesting article over here that talks about an endangered turtle that was saved from becoming soup thanks to an implanted microchip. Barely saved is more like it, as the chip was spotted by someone with a sharp eye.
While I'm glad the turtle did not become a first course, there are some other concerns in the story that I wonder if RFID could possibly solve. Namely noticing that the turtle was gone in the first place and where to look for it sooner. Seems like a better cause than tracking a pallet of Mach3 razor blades.
