Sun Ray Success!
In a comment on my Stupid Analyst post Geoff Arnold pointed me to this article from InfoWorld. Sparkasse Haslach-Zell is another Customer who gets it. I met with the Sun team responsible for this deployment last September while in Munich for business (and Oktoberfest!). It was a very short meeting because like the customer, our Sun team in Germany really gets it.
The article is part of a larger special report on thin client, which I think the InfoWorld folks did a great job of doing their homework. Geoff suggests that we get some reprints, I agree.
I'd like to offer a huge Danke to Sparkasse Haslach-Zell for their business, and a huge Glückwünsche to our team in Deutschland!
PS. Hey Citrix, this is another joint customer. Can we please get an updated Solaris x86 Client?
Update: Thanks to Chris for reminding me that our great partner Unit and their great product Raymote W*Admin (really a great product!) were a key part of this success story. Blahozelania and Ďakujem to the folks at Unit as well!
