PC/SC-lite 1.0
The incredibly hard to find PC/SC-lite 1.0 package which is referenced in the Sun Ray Software 4 Release Notes can be found here for both Solaris x86 and SPARC. If you want to do stuff with your smart cards other than hot desking (i.e. PIN based logins to Windows, digitally sign your email, use ActivIdentity middleware on Solaris) you'll need this package.
Please read the release notes as there is some pre-work (removing incompatible packages and some work if you are using Trusted Extensions) before you can add the new packages.

can we use it for external smart card reader connected to Sun Ray DTU via USB?

That's the plan, but I don't have one to test with. I will get a definite answer and post it tomorrow.

Hiroa,
Looks like the end of September timeframe for the secondary USB CCID reader support.

I had always thought that a smartcard with SunRay would be an excellent interface for datacenter security purposes. You could run fiber through the wall (no electrical conductance) and have the Sun machine located on the inside control the doors. Add a web cam to the top of the Sun Ray and you have photos of each person logging in.

Thanks! But popup'ed more questions: (1) the secondary USB CCID reader supported by what? firmware or PC/SC-lite 1.0 or Solaris/Linux? (2) could Windows recognize "the secondary USB smart card reader" (connected to DTU) through Connecctor?

Hiroa,
1. Supported by PCSClite, probably 1.1.
2. Yes, extra readers are visible to Windows via SRWC.
