I have a 5,000 seat opportunity for a compbination of Sun Ray thin client and Sun Ray laptop. The client was burned by VMware pricing and bad performance results in their test pilot. They are a very large Microsoft shop, and have already implemented Oracle and Cognos software on Hyper-V. They want to use Microsoft only for all virtualization projects. Is there a way for Sun to make a VDI connector for Hyper-V and Microsoft Systems Center?

I have read the Managed Desktop Factory and it is perfect except that Sun Ray is explicitly written for VMware and Virtual Centre. I need to know if Sun is willing to write a VDI connector for Microsoft Hyper-V with Microsoft Systems Centre.

Emerich,
Hyper-V is becoming more important and that we recognize that. Our roadmap is reflecting this already.

When do you see Hyper-V support in the roadmap?
Need to give an answer to my client.

Hi Emerich,
Roadmap information can not be shared on blogs. In general, if you have interest on how we move our product forward, please contact the general VDI alias mailto:sun-vdi-feedback@sun.com that brings you in direct contact with Sun VDI marketing.
