I thought Eucalyptus was a project at UCSB (web site http://eucalyptus.cs.ucsb.edu/ ) not a company? Same goes for Hadoop?

You are right, but for the purpose of this list, both Apache Hadoop and Eucalyptus, are being treated as units of contributors/companies.
