West Dallas Community Center
Wednesday Aug 22, 2007
About 20 SE's are in Dallas for a corporate training event. Instead of the normal lectures, they took us all out to the West Dallas Community Center. Dallas, like all big cities, has its more troubled neighborhoods. The goal of the West Dallas Community Center is to provide a safe, nurturing environment for children in these high risk neighborhoods. The center has a computer room. The Sun Foundation (blog entry), donated new Sun Rays and our afternoon event was to go and set them up.
Sun is truly an amazing company, and this event exemplifies, how Sun stands above the rest. Integrating a chance to give back to the community, into a corporate training event, truly makes me proud to be a Sun employee.
The Sun Ray server is a used v880. This is a great new home for it!
The workstations are Sun Ray 2's with 17 inch monitors.
Here are a couple of shots of the team getting things set up.

Great Stuff dude! Sorry I missed this one. So...
