Hi,
Actually I was struggling to recover my blog password or username or both :D, but anyway I got them back. So where were we ? Yeah ! openSolaris Take-2
As
I wrote in my previous entry that on my institute staff's demand I had
to take the session again. So on 31st Jan I took the session again.

A sneak peek
This
time the strength was more than in previous talk (maybe because of free
stuff & refreshment
). Three faculty members were also present
including our contact professor Dr. Venkatesh Choppella. So the session
started with a quick walk through SAI (5 Min), then we moved on to
openSolaris. Last time the timing of session was too late (5:30 PM),
but this time I started at 10:30 AM and so the students were full of
energy as they were asking lot of queries. The session was very
interacting and students were just attacking me with lot of questions.
They all were very interested to know more about ZFS and DTrace . I
told them to not worry as I'll be taking the topics in separate
sessions and then we can have full discussion about them. It was nice
to see the enthusiasm in students to learn more about openSolaris.

Discussing Project Indiana
After the talk, students were asking about where to lookout for more resources. Dr. Raj Mathew (our faculty member) was showing keen interest in openSolaris and particularly project indiana. I assured him that ASAP I download the developer preview he'll be the first one to try it.
