今日は、認識されなかったネットワークに挑戦してみました。

ネットワークは、Marvell Yukon であるということを教えてもらったので、

Marvell Yukon Solaris 7, 8, 9 & 10 Driver

http://www.marvell.com/drivers/driverDisplay.do?dId=133&pId=22

をダウンロード後、USB メモリで持ってきて、pkgadd で突っ込んでみました。

インストール後、いろいろ面倒なので、 touch /reconfigure; reboot しましたが、
認識されてません。まぁ、ここはしょうがないので確認です。

まず、/etc/driver_aliases をみてみると

一方、prtconf -vD でデバイス確認してみると、搭載されているチップは
pci11ab,5321 のようで、これが /etc/driver_aliases に登録されていない
のが原因のようです。

add_drv で試してもよいのですが、面倒なので /etc/driver_aliases の最後に
yukonx "pci11ab,5321" を追加後、徐に touch /reconfigure; reboot。

今度は ifconfig yukonx0 plumb; ifconfig yukonx0 auto-dhcp で IP を取得
することが出来ました。

なかなかイイ感じで、これならおうちサーバとして使えそうです。

こんにちは、あかぴんです。

MacBook で Nevada b44 が動いたという報告があったので、
Mac mini (Early 2006) で試してみました。

インストール先は、たまたま USB 接続していた iPod (40 GB Click Wheel)  が
SCSI デバイスとして認識されたので、こいつにインストールしてみました。

＃ネタのために、消してごめんなさい。

結果は、ネットワークは認識されませんでしたが、インストールは出来ました。
Core も 2 つ認識しています。Bluetooth の Keyboard, Mouse も使えてます。
ただ、残念なことに FW400 で接続されている iSight は認識されてないようで、
緑の LED も点灯してません。。。

参考までにこちらが Explorer の出力結果です。

ちなみに、iPod を取り外して、電源を入れてみると、悲しいアイコンが表示されて
すぐに電源が落ちるようになりました（まぁ当然の挙動）。Mac OS X からはデバイス
としては認識できたので、きっと初期化すれば復活するものと思われます。

今回は、時間がなかったのでインストールしただけで終わりましたが、時間のあるときに
Mac mini のネットワークまわりとか、この iPod を Ultra 20 に接続して Boot させたら
どうなるか等を調べてみたいと思います。
