Sorry for my strange English but I felt like writing this entry in English.

I believe you know OSUM (Open Source University Meetup) that is an Sun global SNS for university students to exchange information of open source technologies.

Yesterday, I found an interesting use of OSUM.

How about taking contact with students who attends the same international confference or live in the place you visit before your visit via OSUM?

I didn't try it via OSUM but I took contact with Korean CAs (Campass Ambassador) via e-mail. Of course we bacame friends on OSUM after the e-mail based communication. If we can, we'll meet in Korea during my visit to Korea! I think this can be done with OSUM.

# I know it's not directry related to opensource technologies... But I think it's OK.

In OSUM, there are many students who are interested in open source technologies. I'm sure they are friendly. I think this kind of use of SNS can't be realized with conventional egocentric SNSs.

Let's join OSUM! and communicate with students from all over the world :-) It's really exciting.

私は昨日 OSUM のおもしろい使い方を思いつきました。

国際学会に行く時に、同じ会議に参加する人やその地域の人に OSUM を通じて連絡をしてみてはどうでしょう？

OSUM を通じてではないのですが、昨日韓国行きを前に韓国の CA の方とコンタクトをとることができました。もちろんそのあとOSUMでつながりました（＾＾）できたら韓国で会いたいねということになっています。これって多分 OSUM ベースでもできますよね。

OSUM にはオープンソース技術に興味を持っている学生さんがたくさんいて、彼らはとても親切です（＾＾）上に書いたようなコミュニケーションは普通のSNSではなかなかできないと思います。

まだ参加していない方はまずOSUMに参加して世界中の人たちとコミュニケーションしましょう！とてもエキサイティングです。
