Solaris 10 to create a BIG splash!

Yeah, I really mean just that. One of my astoned colleagues, Alan Coopersmith, of the X server team has integrated a new splash screen for dtlogin as of build 69. It might not look very impressive here, but it has really gotten some great comments from the users. It's these small details that will make Solaris a more modern looking OS.
As Solaris continues to get better on commodity hardware and the small details like this get polished out, Solaris will be the best ever.

"astoned"? I don't think I've ever been called that before...I'm not even sure I want to know what it means 8-)
[And just to be clear - I have no artistic talent, the images came from our much more talented artistic designers - I just turned them into something dtlogin could use, and beat dtlogin into submission so it would display them in a whole new way on the login screen.]

Laurent, Victor, (and all;-)
69 should be available really soon now, I believe. I have heard that it is on it's way to being approved to go out, but that is not final yet. Look for it in the next week on Solaris Express hopefully.
bill,
Sun is paying for attention to find details like this, and the Solaris product is continuing to get better every day.
Alan,
I wouldn't say anything bad about you intentionally, but I'll leave you to look it up in the dictionary!;-)
Hey, artistic talent or not, you wrote the code that put it there, and that's a good thing!
Thanks all, for your comments!
